, Analytics Pros hosted the first of series of a free trainings for Veterans and Veterans’ spouses at the Seattle headquarters on Monday, October 3.
Veterans in Washington State can leverage their GI Bill benefits to pay for training courses at Code Fellows—but that is just the start. Together these companies are working to train Veterans and their spouses for highly-skilled roles in web and mobile app analytics.
Digital Analytics Association co-founder and current Board Chair, Jim Sterne, sees a huge opportunity to not only fill much-needed roles in companies big and small, but also strengthen and grow the profession. “Advocacy and Education are two tenets of our organization,” Sterne said. “The Veteran trainings are perfectly aligned with our purpose. These efforts are crucial not only for our trade, but for our country.”
“One of the greatest challenges for our clients is a deficiency of development resources, especially for marketing purposes,” said Vicki O’Meara, a former Army Captain who is President and CEO of Analytics Pros. “Marketing-savvy developers are highly desired, and there is a unique opportunity for Veterans with software engineering skills to enter the digital analytics workforce. We want to lead this charge.”
David Molina, Founder & Executive Director of Operation Code agrees. "At Operation Code, we're on a mission to fill the nation's technical talent with our nation's finest and we could not be more thrilled on this exciting Google Analytics workshop to help the men and women in uniform and their families with this vital skill,” said Molina. "We hope to partner with more innovative companies to provide technical training to the military community."
